myne didn't they sorta merged half way if not all the way into the 775 circle...

Yeah mine stayed in the correct place

 

@ phew thats a hige relief, thankyou so much, when you say "don't over tighten them" you are referring to the standoffs correct?

I mean like just don't wrench them down onto the motherboard, Yeah the standoffs that the cooler gets screwed on to

I don't really think so as long as the bracket is on straight and correctly secured meaning like its not wobly and it doesn't look like it's going to fall off in any way, As long as it makes good contact with the cpu and its secure and not loose than there would be nothing to worry about
