Well I'd kinda like to know why people go for one over the other, even if the reason is stupid as my own

I'd take triss because compared to yen, she is much more caring. Like in the books, yen even cheats on geralt, whereas triss goes so far as to cry over an injured geralt. Plus she is a lot more gentle in the game, though you do get more overall time with yen...

Yen is sexy, but she´s an annoying Bitch, so for me its Triss.

If you know a bit about the books, Yen makes a lot more sense. I tried to go for a fairly immersive playthrough, so after finishing Witcher 2, I "restored" Geralt's memory by reading some summaries of his past adventures via the Witcher wiki. Helped a lot to enrich the playthrough and give the relationships some context that would otherwise have been missing.

As for my personal preferences, Yennefer, but I'll be spending more time with Triss in New Game+ when I finally get around to that.
