I recently gave my old headset to my friend, and he tried to use it, but the microphone will not work. He has them plugged in properly, but this is what the device manager says: bBoxdHE.png

We have tried to do many different things to try and fix it, but literally nothing has worked. Anyone know what we could do to get it to work?

he just reset his computer for a windows update, and there arent drivers you need to install for the headset

oh i see its not USB

I'm guessing other microphones dont work either right

it would be that you havent installed audio drivers for the motherboard, which are supposed to be automatically installed by windows update, which is why I told you to check for updates again

but you can also go to the motherboard manufacturer's website and download the audio drivers there
