Posted June 29, 2016 If you want the best investment in terms of how long the card will be relevant, go with the 1070. Substantially stronger graphics card, but it will be completely overkill for your needs at first. The RX 480 is the much better value for you, but will show it's age much quicker. I used my 970 for 4 months, then sold it for only a tiny bit less than I bought it for, then bought a (faster) 290X that overclocks like crazy, and made 50$ on that deal because that's how much cheaper the 290X was.
