Premiere not showing full video length

I'm experiencing something very annoying atm and i hope someone here can help me fix it. I have a video clip that is 9:17:00 (thats 9 mins ;)) long and plays perfectly normal without any errors in a media player. But when i import it into premiere it only shows a length of 2:07:09. It just cuts off the video right in the middle. I tried remuxing it with another program to see if that would do anything or maybe fix some error i cant see while playing it back but it didn't do anything.

I finally went to sony vegas (which sucks for me and i don't want to use), and that showed the clip in its full length and didn't show any problems. Does anyone know how to import this clip into premiere correctly? It's really annoying to edit in vegas cuz it takes me at least 5x as long :(.

Best bet would be converting the file.

I've had a problem like this but with After Effects. I suspect its some kind of codec screw up.
