Hi all, First i wanna begin by saying this forum is amazing.

Now to my problem-(ish)

I wanna build a PC but im on a tight budget. I want to get the PC as fast as i can and im waiting to upgrade later because i do need a PC.

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/rZfpbj

I wanna know if the PC is good enough for now, e.g.(if the ram speeds are good enough).

That is my list, im using an APU for now and planning to get a video card later.

Now i know the budget is low for now, and i know everyone will cringe.

Thank You

I'd swap the 2x4GB ram for a 1x8GB so you can upgrade in the future! Apart from that looks good, 80+ power supply is good to get at any price point and corsairs spec line if not to the taste of everyone are well laid out and constructed to a decent quality. Good Luck!

Ah Sweet!! I was actually expecting to get a lot of criticism for having a low budget, lol. Thanks Man.

thats a bad idea actually, the igpu does prefer dual channel memory over single chanel you'll lose performance

No one should be critical of budget as its something that can't be changed (especially if you need a pc for a deadline / schoolwork where saving isn't an option). Also with an APU you will be able to do some light gaming until you get a GPU. Personally I prefer Intel however for the budget AMD is the way to go.

This was a INTEL based build i originally wanted, but i would sacrifice a GPU and i would have to wait a longer time to get one cause i was looking at a 300$ GPU to pair with it but that would take some time and int he time when i don't have the GPU i wouldn't be able to run barely any games.

ahh, you'd be surprised of the iGPU performance form Intel, on my i5 i could run Arma 3 at 30FPS. Not 60FPS but still playable until i got my 760.

Hmm, i really wouldve liked an intel chip, but my budget just cant make it. I would have to cheap out in the motherboard, ram and case. which i dont want because my plan is this. Build with the APU--->Buy a GPU-->swap to intel. (mobo and CPU)

As much as im tempted to get the INTEL build, im not sure if i could get the money before summer ends.

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

Woah,  thanks. but i would like to be able to play games and use software for AutoCAD,without the GPU(they are a bit pricey). I understand that i would need to sacrifice some power for that. That is why i opted with amd

I edited my post. Didn't mean to put that GPU in the list.

Depending on the game and graphics settings, you should be able to run a few; and AutoCAD doesn't look like it's heavily threaded. So technically, this setup should serve this "emergency" situation.

The reason I'm insisting you stick to a Skylake platform is to reduce the cost of future upgrades. You'll save on RAM, motherboard and a few other components if you pick them right, ie. the PSU, Case and the HDD. All of these parts can be re-used when you will be upgrading the CPU and adding in a GPU.

A CPU upgrade from your list will require replacement of almost everything. The PSU would also be a limiting factor too. :|

This will further limit your upgrade options. Haswell CPUs will soon be no longer available, and then you'll have to buy used if you want to upgrade to a Haswell i5 or i7. Otherwise, you will have to replace your motherboard and RAM as well for a Skylake upgrade.

It all depends on how much upgradeability is important to you. If you are 100% sure you will upgrade your system in the future, then go for the latest (Intel) platform, even if you have to pick a Pentium. If you don't mind spending a considerable amount in future upgrades, then go AMD. You'll get considerably more performance now, but this is the more costlier approach.
