so I got my hands on a second hand Seagate Barracuda 2tb
the same model as in my pc.

its been "broken" but it still works and shows up normaly.

how do I test if its still a viable hdd or if its dead ?
I have no idea what the actual damage on it was, just that my dad retreived the files from it.

I'm pretty sure Seagate has a hard drive health program you can download from their website.
