Whatsup guys, so I'm new to the forums but I thought here would be a good idea to talk about the issues I'm having.

Anyway I'm using Kali Linux 2.0 I have a year subscription to Privateinternetaccess.com whilst trying to get the shell script to work on root (I gave up on and decided to make a non-root user) because it tells you to run it on "Normal User". Basically my issues with this company after contacting me are bothering me more than the should... So I was wondering if any of you Linux users out there use PIA or maybe have a good recommendation for other VPN programs or any other helpful things I could do to protect myself.

Just in case you were wondering I am running Windows 10 that uses the PIA program and it works fine. It is just when I run Kali Linux on my dual boot.

Thanks in advance for any help!

please ellaborate.

issues with sponsors are actually a very big issue for the linus man, so if there's actual issues here they should be investigated.

also, running things as a "normal user" is pretty normal buisiness on linux, in fact, when people ask about running thing as root the answer is usually along the lines of "run as few things as you can under root" for security reasons, which is something a kali user should be familiar with :P

The company is alright, their Linux versions is in Beta so I can't complain too much. The staff is helpful but it is just a hassle, I've looked through their knowledge-base looking for an answer. I made a support ticket saying that I had read through the knowledge-base for the particular issue (it was trying to connect) and I just got a reply back to the ticket with the same steps as I have already tried. I understand that their Linux version is in beta but in total honesty I think they can do better. I have never had trouble with them before, but for god sake I think I need to find a new VPN provider. I've tried running OpenVPN through network manager and everything that any of their knowledge-base had said. It sucks man, I just want to browse the web safely. I'm trying to stay loyal to the company but it is hard. So if you have any other VPN recommendations please let me know.

Now, for the explanation of my frustration.. To keep it simple. I've spent four days trying to work with them and find a solution to this problem.

Thanks for the reply.
