Well so far so good. But for gaming you won´t need a 6700k, just settle for a i5 6600k, which might be in your budget, with following cuts: Your PSU is a bit overkill, 500W is enough, GTX 960 is not so worth it. I personally would wait for the RX480 (wait for benchmarks) or a R9 390. 1000$ should work with this.

Ok, so 970 has 4 GB but 0,5 of which are slower, but they are there. Maybe look on ebay or so for a used 970 or even 980. Or wait until you can offord a 1070

i think i might not buy the 960 and just use a low end gpu for a while and buy something beefier,

you can buy every components but the GPU now and save until you can afford a 1070, It's a great card for 1080p gaming

Why have you asked for the advice of the forum if you're not willing to listen to it?

If you make a post contradicting mine that doesn't directly address my claims, or cites 'facts' without evidence, I'm probably not going to bother responding to it, because you probably didn't bother reading my post properly, and because life is too short. It doesn't mean I don't have an answer for you. It means I'm not dignifying you with a response.
