So I used to fold a bit on my 660 ti.

I just upgraded to a r9 290x. what ppd can I expect?

Welcome to the team!

My best calculations for the 290X indicate an overall ppd around 175k to 200k ppd, or more depending on your overclock.  That's a good upgrade from the 660 ti.  I was getting about 110k ppd with mine, but replaced it with a GTX 750 ti and a GTX 750 when I figured out they could produce about the same ppd at only 2/3 the power usage ; ).
