I'm upgrading from a GT 720 to a GTX 950.

I got a new power supply, 500W, and for some reason, when I start the computer up, the GPU won't! D:

I press the power button, then it goes BEEP, BEEP, which it's supposed to do because the GPU's fan won't move, and then the CPU and back(exhaust?) fans work, but not the GPU, nor its fan. I tried switching from 130 to 240V, which made it even worse, as the computer would straight-up crash, restart, and then crash again, over and over.

What am I doing wrong!? Please help meh! :(

Thanks! :P

Which GTX 950 do you have? because a lot of them keep there fans off till they reach a certain temperature.

Oh, I have the Zotac. Yes, it does have that technology, but it should still at least output a signal! :|

Yes, a six pin, which I plugged into it.

Remove the GPU, and see if your PC will run off your IGPU.

WHAT THE FUCK!? All of a sudden, it started to work with the IGPU! :o WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?

Good stuff! What did you do different?

Maybe the GPU was dying, or was dead. Best bet is RWA the GPU and get a new one... :D

Okay, so it works with the iGPU- that's a step in the right direction. Now uninstall any previous display drivers.

Drivers. All drivers. I used Chrome Remote Desktop and installed the drivers from there.

You shouldn't really do that...

Go on to the Nvidea and AMD website and install the drivers there, the latest ones ;)

*Make sure the GPU is out also*

No, no, no. You misunderstand. Chrome Remote Desktop is an application which allows you to access and control your computer from another device. The reason I had to use it was that the drivers were not installed yet so the GPU was not outputting a signal to the monitor. The drivers were ready to be installed(from Geforce Experience, it's 100% first party, developed by Nvidia and available on their website), so I just clicked the notification that said "Drivers are ready to be installed!", and then it worked. Chrome Remote Desktop saved my ass. xD
