Pentium G3258 vs AMD FX 6300

I had an FX-6350 (pretty much the same performance as a 6300) I could happily run the games I wanted to play at high settings with my 970. The only reason I upgraded to an i5-4460 was because of games such as Arma were struggling a bit to keep 60fps in certain scenarios.
