I've been Apple customer for many years,  having owned many macs (both laptops and iMacs,  Mac Pros) and all the iPhones/ipads.

Well I usually like the design of the products  and OS X but eventually I opened my eyes and got tired of paying more for less.  So I have switched to a Nexus 6P as my current phone and have sold my last iMac. Initially I was going to wait for a new Mac Pro  but it hasn't been released yet (if it ever will) and it would cost a ridiculous amount anyway.  I have also used hackintosh in the past but it's too much hassle with finding compatible parts and hoping that nothing breaks with OS updates.

So I am soon buying new parts of my choice (I will start a thread about it to ask for advice) and switching to a custom PC which will run Linux.

Feels nice to be once again able to customise my computer and get a powerful system which will cost much less than a mac Pro.

BTW I don't get how some people can prefer windows to OS X. It just doesn't make any sense to me if we are not talking about gaming exclusively...

Because not everyone is like you.  There are people who prefer just clicking a mouse to install software, navigate menus, do things even when keyboard shortcuts are available and faster.  Some people just don't care, they use the OS that came with their hardware.  Some people don't want to dual, triple boot several different operating systems.  Not everyone is a computer nerd.

Lol at the term nerd^

But really its perspective. Some people enjoy working on computers, some people enjoy working on cars. Personally I don't like either yet I built my computer and work on my car because I make less per hour than a computer tech or a car mechanic. It makes sense to do those thing myself. For others, that make more money than the previously stated, if they don't enjoy working on cars and computers they'll likely pay someone else to do.

Now why they choose mac over pc... its just preference, but as far a money goes some people are just more careless with it than others depending on their income and what they were taught.

Yes I agree, mac or pc is just personal preferences. And yes of course, some people are just careless about money, thats right. And they exist everywhere.

Now for the mac vs pc debate, I personally found out myself for me, that it's not that about money. At least for me. I just also care about design for a laptop and like the operating system, like someone who spends more for custom watercooling loop. It is something I value, and for that, I will pay the price.

Apples main selling point is theyr software for sure, altough the Iphones, Ipads and Apple Watch are theyr primary source of income, other eletronics as of now are sideffects for only the most interested/needing consumers... So sadly i dont think they will be making a big splash anytime soon.
