Premiere pro RAM crashes??

Hello,

When editing in premiere pro, I sometimes get RAM usage errors from Windows. Even though I only have adobe limited to use 4gb of my 8gb total. When I look in task manager, PP never breaks 4 gb as it should, yet in resource monitor it can read up in the 5gb range under "committed". This has happened when editing but especially when rendering. Any advice??

 

(I have lumetri scopes up at all times, I've heard that may cause RAM problems??)

try running memtest and making sure that all your RAM is okay first, then we'll move onto the next.

You should defiantly have a minimum of 16gb for any type of video editing

I've run the Windows memory utility many times and it hasn't found any problems... Plus, it looks the the memory actually is being filled up, not just arbitrarily crashing?
