So I'm upgrading my rig in July and want to trick it out with leds and I would like to know what leds to get now I would like to be able to control the leds with software and have them be color changing and stuff like that.

For software based controlled LED's there aren't too many options the few being the NZXT Hue+, Corsair's LED system using Corsair link, and having a controller built into a motherboard like Asus's Aura system.

So for the NZXT Hue+ I buy the controller thing does that come with leds or do I need to buy something else too?

@W-L

It comes as a full kit with everything included all that needs to be done is plugging everything in and installed with the software to control the lighting modes.

Ok thanks because I wasn't sure do you also know of any leds I could mount on the back of my desk for like lights that are also multicolored or could I use the Hue for that too?

As long as your not overloading the Hue+ unit you can get extra LED's and extension cables from NZXT to run out of the system for the lights behind the desk. If you wanted something with a remote you can get those kits online from Amazon as long as you don't mind doing some DIY work.

How much brightness do you need ?

the same amount like in youtube gaming rigs

according to me NZXT hue has better fireworks show and is cuztomizable but doesn't have much brightness power as in gaming rigs in internet but but has enough to make your pc illumination looks beautiful

i have one in my case

@W-L

It has two channels as long as you distribute the lights between the two you won't have any problems even with an extension kit, just don't daisy chain all of them on one channel.
