First build, like to get some thoughts on it.

Lusmuri

Hello! Im an 19 year old pc noob from finland and i have been dreaming of building a high end and good looking gaming pc for a while now xD

Im building this pc because i think it's time to upgrade from my gtx 570 and amd phenom II x6.

My budget is around 2000 in euros and i want some opinions on my build. The build costs 1940 euros now.

If the link doesn't work, here's a list of the components:

cpu: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz

cooler: Corsair H110i GTX

mobo: Asus SABERTOOTH Z170 MARK 1 ATX or Gigabyte Z170X-Ultra Gaming (the gigabyte mobo just came out in finland, im waiting for reviews to see if its any good)

ram:  Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory

storage:  Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

gpu:  EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC Gaming ACX 3.0

case:  Fractal Design Define S

psu:  EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Im planning to overclock and doing a custom water cooling loop in the future.

Im buying an 144hz monitor with g-sync (going to wait for a good deal)

And maybe get another 1070 in the future, im not sure about that.

(I will be playing all gaimz!):D

As you can see im going the expensive route on my build so keep that in mind :)

Im open to all advice and tips and sorry if i misspelled :P

Thank you!

Everything awesome, i would just go for online purchased Windows key and installation from self-made Windows USB. It would save some money :)

A (high quality) 650W PSU would be more than enough for 2 1070s.

True, but sometimes the price difference is pretty small.

not really I would go with Windows 7 Po to really save cash and then do upgrade. You can purchase Windows 7 Pro on Amazon dirt cheap and then do an upgrade 60~70 bucks saved right there... Than just do FREE upgrade t Windows 10 Pro....

Since you said money isnt the issue, get a 1080

I need those 40 PCI-e express lanes.

Instead of Barracuda, get the WD BLACK

Nah the Seagate will do fine, plus WD Black drives can be noisy.

I say wait for RX 480 and do Dual Crossfire to beat 1080 to the balls:) Given a free Internal leaks from AMD and it's 3rd parties  given even 1~2% performance boost overall in CF What the hell not to and It's overclocking well beyond 1.5 Ghz

1-2% performance oost is nothing. Its like saying if you are getting 100fps, 1-2% performance boost is 101-102fps and also you are using more power.

In Gaming single RX 480 gives about 7 -9 FPS  gain  with their Beast Mode... Considering that 1 GTX 108o is 3 of RX 480  Whiy not invest more into cooling and overclocking of the system. I only see reason to invest in Nvidia when they release TI variants at this point ast in general they making them well...

Also forgot to mention that 1080 has thermal problems...

i forgot to mention that i do have a 120GB samsung evo ssd where i have my os on, so i think im going to take a 1080 over the 1070 because i was thinking about leaving the 500GB ssd for later. But i do want to buy a new 1TB optical hard drive because the one i have now is so old and it doesn't cost that much + im going with the gigabyte mobo. Thoughts?? :D (hope anyone sees this still, im new to this forum xD)
