Cancelling Netflix subscription

Hi,

 

I realized that I'm wasting too much money of "renting" services such as Netflix, Deezer and Scribd. They may charge you just $10 a month, but in a year I'm spending $360 on these 3 services only and the worst part is I barely use them. Sometimes I use Netflix just once in a month and don't read a single book because I'm too busy.

Therefore I would like to cancel momentarily my Netflix subscription, but I want to know if I would lose all my data i.e the things I added to my list, the profiles, etc. Would I be able to just renew my subscription when I'm more available.?

My Netflix and Spotify are tied to a debit cad/account and if the account has no money, the services will stop working but keep all my settings and playlists and whatnot. Both do the same. I'm thinking, maybe you could just un-bind your card from the service without un-subscribing.

Actually I'm in a similar situation. I'm using a prepaid card for all my online payments. Last month it wasn't loaded and Netflix kept sending me emails then stopped the service, but they made the payment without even asking just a few days after I loaded the card, while Scribd cancelled my subscription, and Deezer.... doesn't care? They sent me emails then somehow forgot me. Maybe they'll charge me twice next month.

So I've got my answer : you can cancel your Netflix account at any time. You will still be able to use Netflix until your subscription expires, then you won't and your preferences will be kept for 10 months. That's an awesome way to handle this. So I have 3 weeks to finish Gotham !
