I have decided to break up my RAID 1 and replace one of it's two HDDs with a dedicated games SSD. I'm going to get a 1tb SSD for this purpose. Are there any 1tb SATA 2.5" SSDs worth considering other than the 850 EVO?

I spend too much on my PC. Then I spend even more on my Sim Rig. Damn, this stuff's expensive.

It's not as fast as something like an 850 evo, but it's a lot cheaper and still more than good enough that you wouldn't really be able to tell it (or any half decent ssd) apart from an 850 evo unless you run a benchmark or do massive file transfers between an equally capable ssd.

ya, im not looking for extreme speed. Just very hesitant on the lower cost SSD's like ADATA and the like. Using a 240GB Crucial M500 for my games right now and have to keep swapping games.

Yeah I might just go with an EVO. Kinda sucks that a good SSD is still rather expensive. Doesn't help me that the likes of Corsair and Kingston are more expensive than the EVO in Australia.
