I need a new headset

Go to solution Solved by DarkBlade2117,

A pair of $50-$60 HEADPHONES and a Neweer NW-800 + Phantom PSU. should run you $90 all together

So recently I had a pair of my headphones break near the end of the headband, I'm currently looking for a replacement as the company may not repair or replace my broken set.

I would like for them to have an aluminum headband, someone did tell me about the HyperX Cloud II, I'm just looking for suggestions, nothing too expensive either, I set my bar at $100.

I love my Cloud IIs. Aluminium build, really comfortable and the best sound you'll find on a headset south of $100. Get them if you can.

No. It's a good price but you can do better for $100. Especially if you get a separate MIC.

Note I said headset, as in a gamery cans+mic combo unit. I know full well you can get better headphones plus a seperate mic.

If you can find a $50 - $60 pair of headphones that has an aluminum headband.

I say this because every headset I've ever had has fallen to the ground at some point, a couple of them broke.

Build quality really means a lot to me, I want it to last more then a couple of years.

The hyper x II is nice. I just got a wireless Logitech G930 and love it. Sound quality is pretty great and I absolutely LOVE that I'm not tied down with wires. I can walk to the fridge and back with them on and keep talking lol

I'm not in need of wireless, I've always avoided wireless where I can, always had signal problems with wireless peripherals.

If I need to go to the fridge I take them off, hang them on my monitor, get what I want, and then go back to my desk.

Actually, now that I look at it, had any experience with the Philips SHP9500 headphones.

I can get a pair for $50, which compared to the original $160 I think that's a pretty good deal.

Would I need any other audio equipment for that microphone, other than the arm and PSU.

Also, the entire price is $106, not too bad, a little above what I wanted to pay, but hey, it's worth the extra.

My friend had to buy an extension coord ( forget the name ) that hooks into the microphone but like a 20ft one on Amazon is about $4, I think he payed $5. Could probably find a much shorter one for cheaper.

Well, the PSU I found supposedly comes with one, not sure how long it will be, if I have to get one it's not too big of a deal.

Edit: After looking into the listing for the PSU the cable is not included, I'm buying a cable with it, thanks for that suggestion.
