Well, that video mostly answers my recent problem whether to buy the first or the second Yi Camera. That screen on the back would be very useful, as well as the longer battery life, and ofc the 4K support.

Hope it will get a little bit cheaper after the official release.

As for now it's not 219$ in my country as it cost nearly everywhere, but 300$ thanks to the local distributor that wants to rip-off from people...

The price is 249$ (not 219$) though, as in Europe the distributors have to pay more taxes.

So just had a look on Amazon UK and I find the price on there from the only place I can find it very high. Its around £250 (give or take a pound each way). For £270 I can buy a GoPro Hero 4. For a Chinese camera (no offence to china here - Just your products are by far cheaper 99% of the time) I was expecting the price to be at least £100 cheaper than the GoPro.

That being said though, It looks like a brilliant camera from the review Linus gave and the down faults he told us about they just don't bother me.
If that price for us in the UK changes then I will seriously consider getting one since I am looking at getting a new GoPro eventually anyway.

its arguably better than the go pro, better software, awesome touch screen, it a sony sensor with great optic and a very fast processor

 

Just because "go pro" are a big name and Xiaomi is chinese does not mean they cannot make competitive products

the Xiaomi is not a budget chinese clone but a flagship for their company just like they make premium smartphones that are actually very competitive with the Korean/US brands etc

Dont look at this as a budget camera, but as a very capable high quality camera from a competent manufacturer
