hi guys my friend gave me to troubleshoot  his pc because his usb ports doesn't work anymore i tried everything from updates to re installations nothing works i always gets unknow device or sometimes it's doesn't even pop up any solutions ? 

he have a lenovo 505g with win 10

it's not clear what you did to troubleshoot the problem, first thing to try is to get the drivers from Lenovo ...

 

Also did you look in the device manager if there was an error with the device?

well the error on device manager is unkown usb  (failed port reinstalisation) it wasn't there until i started strying things for the drivers i use driver booster and even i can't find proper usb drives in the website http://support.lenovo.com/us/fr/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/Lenovo-G-Series-laptops/Lenovo-G505-Notebook?linkTrack=GPS%3ABody_Search%2BProducts&tabName=downloads&beta=false thanks

get the Hardware ID from the device manager and try to find drivers with that
