Software fan controller for W10

asand1

I have an OEM Lenovo (K330A) with no BIOS control on the case or CPU fans. It's not particularly loud but I would like to lower it a bit and set it to ramp up when gaming.  Intake is 80mm PWM 0.50A Delta, exhaust is 92mm PWM 0.40A, and CPU cooler is Cryorig H7 with 120mm PWM. At the very least I would like to watch my RPM.

Black Knight-

Ryzen 5 5600, GIGABYTE B550M DS3H, 16Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz, Asrock RX 6800 XT Phantom Gaming,

Seasonic Focus GM 750, Samsung EVO 860 EVO SSD M.2, Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 1TB PCIe NVMe, Linux Mint 20.2 Cinnamon

Daughter's Rig;

MSI B450 A Pro, Ryzen 5 3600x, 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz, Silicon Power A55 512GB SSD, Gigabyte RX 5700 Gaming OC, Corsair CX430

It's completely blown out of proportion. Also if you're the least bit worried about data gathering then you should go live in a cave a 1000Km from the nearest establishment simply because every device and every entity gathers information these days. In the current era privacy is just fallacy and nothing more.

Thank you, I forgot all about HWmonitor, and wondered where all that info disappeared to while viewing CPUzO.o

Speedfan. And it's easy, I don't understand peoples saying that it's hard to set up. Well, I have posted couple of "Help me" topics but it was all due to my blindness and not clicking one thing or ticking some checkbox.

I need S340. But more Define S'ish

Downloaded Speedfan and Its working great. CPU fan (120mm) running at 418RPM, Case running at 0RPM as I type this.

CPU fan controlled by Core 0 temp, Case fan controlled by "Temp2". Not sure if there is a better option that reports the overall temp of the CPU.

I tried to control the case fans with the GPU temp, but they go to 100% at only 50c GPU and I cant seem to adjust it. Oh well.

If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong with the GPU/Case fan deal let me know. I left OC Guru in control of the GPU fans intentionally.

I had the same problem and that's what I mean by not being easy to set up. it is because your warning temp (or however its called) is set for 50C. When your GPU reaches that point, it will automatically set the fan to 100%. Just set it for something higher than that and youll be fine. I cant tell you where exactly it is because I wont be on my PC till Monday. If you cant figure it out by then, let me know and Ill help you ;) good luck

Set the warning temp on core1 and GPU for 70C* and set the controller for PMW2 back to GPU.  Works great and case fans ramp up with GPU temp.
