Hi guys, I want to build a computer that can have oxs, and also have things like GTX 1070/1080, intel core i7 6700k, and 32 gb of dominator DDR4 memory. Can I do this and what is the best osx computer that you can build? Thanks!

only certain hardware is compatible with OSX because drivers. There should be a website somewhere that has a list of all the hardware that can be used. A GTX 1070/80 are out of the question and so are any skylake CPUs because Apple does not support those yet. DDR4 is also not used by Apple so idk about that. If you want a latest gen hackintosh.....you need to wait till after Apple updates their Mac line with Skylake and DDR4 RAM.

fack. I wanted to have great gaming perf in macs... I just can't get used to windows xD thanks guys, that was very helpful.

Macs were not designed to be uber powerful computers. Look at how they are designed. Sleek metal bodies constructed to be as silent as possible.........not gamming material and OpenGL is not practical for gaming either. Any Mac that outputted as much heat as a desktop grade GPU might die from the poor fans running as hard as they can to keep the thing from melting xD (seriously I had a 2011 iMac that would get damn hot but the fans would refuse to ramp up at all!)

It's not just the problem with hardware, it;s the problem with how many games that support Mac OS too. Games that supports Mac you can pretty much all run on a Hackintosh machine with way lower spec GPU compare to a 1070/1080.

My rig: Intel Core i7 4790k | MSI Z97 PC Mate | GSKILL Ripjaws X 16GB 1866MHz | ADATA Premier SP550 480GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 3TB | Seagate Barracuda 2TB  | MSI Gaming X GTX 1070 | Thermaltake Versa N21 | Corsair CX550M Semi Modular PSU | AOC G2460PF 144Hz | Logitech G502 | GSKILL Ripjaws KM780  | GAMDIAS HEPHAESTUS V2  PCPartPicker | Old Build Log | New Build Log
