That's a fantastic deal. If you need a card now get that. If you can wait for custom 1070's, go with that instead.

That's a good deal for sure, but the extra 40-ish dollars might be worth waiting for an MSI 1070 if you can hold off!

I've been checking the availability of the 1070's since the 10th & I did have some opportunities to get a FE 1070 but for some reason I couldn't convince myself to buy it.

Yes, a custom 1070 would have been awesome but I guess I couldn't wait so I opted for this 980 ti due to the super low price.

No vrm cooling though ;(

Really? Hmm...I hope that doesn't impact the long-term performance but I'd assume that the vrm would get heated if I push it. I actually intend to not overclock the card past the defaults due to power supply constraints.

Only concern would be why that card, why not the Gaming 6g? Maybe they didn't sell well. Maybe they didn't sell for a reason. Hopefully someone with this card can comment.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

@Savagejoe inability to wait it out for the MSI 1070 is the reason I bought the 1070 FE, so I know what you mean lol
