Best GPU that doesn't require additional power?

Hey,

My friend is looking to upgrade his computer with a new GPU as his current one is atrocious.

Although, to not void his warranty he can't upgrade the PSU and so needs one that doesn't require additional power like a 6 or 8 pin connector.

We where looking at a GTX 750 ti.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Smiffy

Good point. But he does not wish to spend that much

Go for the 960 then, its cheap and light on power since that seems to be important.  (a lot lighter than R9 380.) It could make use of the Molex power, just make sure its included/bought seperately.

I think asus makes a GTX 950 that doesn't require aux power.

The RX 460 is also an option

Just a small suggestion as at these prices i would wait for the rx480 or 1060/1050 which will be cheap and may even come in a no additional power option with the new architecture requiring less power. Although i would buy a molex adapter to open your options up as they are super cheap.

Good luck on your search :)
