Hi, I'm looking for some advice with my build. I've never built a computer and I'm not sure if all my choices a right. I'm not a huge fan of overclocking because the idea of my parts running hotter and using more electricity isn't nice for me. :P I would also like the computer to be as quiet as possible because i hate loud fans D: Any suggestion or advice is appreciated!

Parts:
Case:               Cooler master silencio 352
Processor:      Intel i7 6700k
Motherboard:  Asus Z170
GPU:                GTX 1070 Founders edition
RAM:               16GB Kingston hyperx fury
CPU-Fan:        cooler master hyper 212 EVO

Power:            Corsair RM750x  (750W 80 plus gold)

Storage:          Two Samsung 950 Pro 256GB in RAID 0

                         WD Hard Drive 1TB

1. Budget & Location
Below 2000$. But as low as possible

2. Aim
Virtual reality gaming. Programming. Occasionally I would like to live stream, but not the virtual reality games.

3. Monitors
An ultra wide monitor. Possibly 4k.

4. Peripherals
Nothing special

5. Why are you upgrading?
I currently have a laptop and I would like to play virtual reality and build my own computer with a RAID 0 setup.

And why do you need the SSDs in RAID?

1070 on 4k may not perform very well if u like to play on high graphic settings. So either go for 1440p monitor or get a 1080. Also, why dont you wait another one or two weeks to wait for 3rd party 1070s, it will have better overclock headroom (power supply and customized PCB) and better cooling.

No reason for the overclocking parts, wait if you're going to get into VR you basically have to be ready to OC, if it's purely gaming you're going to want a heafty OC on a 6600K most likely, or an OC'd 5820K if your budget is higher

GPU would be the RX 480 at the end of the month

Includes a 27" 4k IPS free-sync display, larger ones are better for productivity

RAID 0 should never be used aside to run a benchmark or 2

Thanks for the suggestions!  I didn't know what case to pick at all so I just went with one that looked nice and wasn't too expensive.

I think 4k is out of the question yeah so I won't get that.

I wanted the ssd's in raid 0 because I thought it would be fun to build and use. No need for it.

I'll wait some weeks for the 3rd party gpu's then :)

Why would I need to overclock the cpu for gaming?

What do you mean 4k is out of the question? it's in the budget right there even has free-sync from my build, Should you go with nvidia you'd have to spend more to get an equivalent display, and while the RX 480 clearly can't push most newer AAA games at 4k, you could easily run them 1080p high settings and it'll scale perfectly

and then you basically never have to replace your display, and when the 1080ti or Vega cards drop you can just upgrade there and be set for 4k gaming, or maybe RX 480 crossfire will be decent

If you want speed buy an NVME SSD

you need to overclock for VR because you need your minimum frame rates as close to 90fps as possible
