AMD Radeon RX 480.

I was a huge NVIDIA fanboy up until now but the RX 480 blew me. How well do you guys think it performs? I am expecting something north of a stock 970.

 

Also, when is the NDA lifting? I am anxious for benchmarks.

no it is expected to be 980/390x performance

Monitor: HP w2207h (1680 x 1050 @ 60hz)

PC Specs:CPU(AMD A8 6500 @3.5ghz), Mobo ( ASUS A68HM-E  FM2+), 1x1600mhz 4gb stick of ram, Random grey PSU, 920gb ssd

Phone: Iphone 5 32gb

Tablet: Ipad 2 16gb

Laptop:Toshiba satelite with 8gb of ram a 480gb ssd and a mobile 2nd gen I3

NDA lifts June 29th. Probably going to be my next card.

In this thread:

... there are down-clocked (I think due to a BIOS issue) and stock Mhz benchmarks of the RX 480 being discussed. The Firestrike Ultra scores presented are these:

 

The GTX 980 gets a score of 3038

The down-clocked RX 480s get scores of 3194, 3268

The stock-clocked RX 480s get scores of 3460, 3513

The R9 Fury gets a score of 3587

 

So, supposedly, the RX 480 is notably faster than a GTX 980, while slightly slower than an R9 Fury... with current drivers.

Expect something between the 980 and Fury for about 230-250$ and 135W power draw

If you have the cash sure. The 1070 is okay as long as you get an aftermarket one (Fanboy Edition is crap). As for the 480 - it's better value by a landslide
