Would this not be an excellent idea if one lived near a Stream?

Watercoooling loop, tubes go outside, to a radiator submerged in a Stream. Wouldn't this yeild great temps that Wouldn't rise much?

That would work AMAZINGLY. However streams are filled with gunk that will ruin the rad. A better idea would be copper tubing in an intestine shape in the stream.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

What if you pumped water directly in from the stream ( with a filter) and just shot the offset back out? You wouldn't need a rad at all.

That filter will gunk up so fast and there will be lots of minerals and such that will build up. Better idea would be copper tubing in the water.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

i guess that it woud be even better than a rad because the water i probably colder than air so you woud have lower temps but then big filter and strong water pump.

It would work theoretically only issue being the debris would then get into the rad and block things off, if you had say a cooling coil like 50ft of copper tubing in the stream that may work as it won't readily clog like a fin array.

I don't see a problem with this as long as the stream has reasonably clean and clear water. But you should put some chicken wire fencing around it to make sure nothing too big hits it.

The only problem is needing to pump the fluid that distance.

the setup woud be this:

1 water block

1 powerful pump

water filters that are easily cleanable

tube

but problem is that things that get through the filter are gonna evencually clog the system!

The loop and stream water are isolated from each other, the stream isn't actually getting into the loop, but just used as a heat exchanger for a rad that is placed outside.

then get a car rad or something like this because it has fins not wery close to each other so cleaning the rad isnt hard.

Radiators for cars are usually very dense or have a high FPI acutally, but the main issue is you would be running mixed metal loop as most card rads are aluminum and not solid copper and brass.

well i said that look for something that is not gonna do you mixed metals and the rad's fins are enough away from each other so you can clean the rad pretty easily. and then youre kicking ass compared with air water cooling!

Another idea I had was to tap into the mains somehow. Massive water bill so what.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Yeah, that wood be a problem constently using water

Unless you live in an apartment building or something in which case you can have the water for the building pass through your system.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.
