Hello :)

How do I overclock my cpu?

I have i7-4770k cpu 3,5ghz is it dangerous to overclock it? and how do i do it? should i only do it during games or permanently?

Ah god damnit overclocking is mostly done in the Bios

EasyTune6 by Gigabyte doesn't seem to be too bad to overclock with. My computer actually doesn't seem to crash any more with it running than from overclocking through the BIOS. The only real risk it seems to have is software incompatibility which can cause crashes.

 

That said, I only use it for benchmarks and use the BIOS for 24/7 overclocks because it adds an additional point of failure. It doesn't seem like it would be bad for doing a rough overclock (finding the point where it's stable in Prime95 for more than 10 minutes).
