Download USTREAM Videos Live

nipppppyyyyyyy

How do I download ustream videos live?

I thought that I made progress by downloading this ustream video as it was live...

youtube-dl http://www.ustream.tv/embed/6540154?html5ui

But to my dismay, it wont work on other streams, like this one...

youtube-dl http://www.ustream.tv/embed/3709413?html5ui

[ustream] 3709413: Downloading webpage

[download] Downloading playlist: 3709413

[ustream] playlist 3709413: Collected 0 video ids (downloading 0 of them)

[download] Finished downloading playlist: 3709413

How do I download streams like that?

Any help appreciated...

EDIT:

I tried the ngrep method where you search through the list of shit that it gives you for any FLV files, it doesn't work, i couldnt find the link to download it w/ wget

also i gotta open up ubuntu whenever i want to do it, because ngrep on mac is broken

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Well frankly 100% of my knowledge about this will just end up coming from Google anyway, so I don't personally have any more suggestions.

you can use livestreamer: http://docs.livestreamer.io/ to stream it to a player on your computer.

If you use VLC you can record directly to file from there I think? Don't know of any other way.
