clean install Windows 10 Clean Install?

I am planning to clean install Windows  10 by formatting my SSD. 

 

Then I am going to write down my product id and deactivate it from windows. 

Then when I reinstall I will put my product id in.

 

Or will the Windows installation DVD that I made detect my PC already and I don't have to worry about my product ID regardless if I format. 

It's because I came from Windows 8.1 and I got a free a upgrade back in June 2016.

Every time I do a clean install it automatically detects that windows has been activated, as long as you aren't switching out the motherboard

probably a good idea to write down the product id just in case

The product id isn't how you activate it, you will need to get your product key

It will automatically detect it as long as you didn't do any major hardware changes (like switching the mobo).

I've done a clean Windows 10 install just a week ago and can definitely confirm it.
