Hey guys! Next year I am becoming homeschooled and my mom said that I can go to whatever gaming/tech convention I want for 2017. I am in South Africa, so going to America is a REALLY long flight, and our school schedules are a lot different to Americas. So that is why this is my first time going to a convention! :D

Anyway, does anyone know any good gaming/tech conventions next year? And also, the place must be in America. (never been there before! :D)

Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

You can rule over CES, E3 or anything like that. Those are for industry and press. Tickets will be expensive if one can even get pass for them.

PAX events are better as they are more LAN style. For gaming side there's MLG, ESL and other major tournaments. Plus Blizzcon, Quakecon, The International, EVOlution...

Yes I would definatly agree with this. There are differences between trade shows and conventions, avoid trades shows as they will be primarily for people who work within the industry and press, while conventions are going to be more centered around a particular community, like tech and gaming.
