I will be building a dedicated streaming PC.

Will a Xeon work well with programs like Xsplit?

Also, I assume the cheap 6 core Xeon E5-2603 V4 would be good enough?

Most likely a 720p stream, as higher seems to get fewer viewers without quality settings available on Twitch.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

are you gaming on the system too or is it just streaming? because if its just streaming a quadcore should be enough.

Can you please explain a little bit more about your setup?

As far as I can understand is that you have one PC where you will play games and other one which will stream your content to Twitch. I also assume that the streaming PC has some sort of a capture card. Please correct me if I am wrong.

In the situation which I've described, some non K 4 core HT i7 is more than enough.

Actually I'd gravitate towards a core i7 if you could. Possibly a 6 core core i7.

1080p would be way better than 720p and I think the quality has no correlation to viewership numbers.

I plan on just this PC just for streaming, maybe encoding videos. I game on another PC.

The reason why I want some power on it, is because it seems to be a few ways to send "raw" video over the network. So it can potentially get a 4520x2560 stream to encode, if everything allows it.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

I have sent video in 1080 before and a lot of people didnt have the bandwidth to view it. But I guess its tweakings to be made, once everything is setup.

The reason I dont go for the i7-5820k is that my dual motherboard case will only have 1 PSU, meaning I wont overclock the streaming pc.

So I figured a Xeon would be better overall.

I can get the 8 core, 16 thread Intel Xeon E5-2620 V4, but not sure which socket " FCLGA2011-3" is.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.
