Im not great when it comes to hardware, getting my hands on a 1080 tomorrow or wait.

I currently have an evga 780ti when i look at all the other brands of 1080 the evga stands out and is different. Can you tell me which is better, should i just wait for a ti?

The TI isn't coming anytime soon. Buy your card now; just make sure you are buying the correct one.

Which im thinking is the evga ftw.

(I meant more in the sense of getting the 1070 rather than a 1080, but okay...)

Sry like i said im not great with this stuff, def going for 1080.

And that's what I'm saying. Do you have a 1440p 144hz / Ultrawide or a 4k monitor? If not, then you are buying the wrong card: a gtx 1070 would be a better fit.

You do realize all the 1080s you listed are out of stock and/or listed on backorder, and you have to wait anyway?

With that being said, just wait. If you can, wait even if its in stock. The more you wait, the better, especially at this point in time.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. He acts totally different in his videos. I don't necessarily care for this content style and there is nothing really unique about him or his channel. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.

Not atm but i plan to, like my 780ti id rather buy something really lasting and able to have the options than get stuck with something and have to switch less than 2 or 3 years

It doesn't matter. The GTX 1080 is out of stock in literally all markets, and the very few ones left are being subjected to insane price gouging. So you really have to wait if you want to buy any GTX 1080 from anywhere (unless you're prepared to pay ridiculous prices, which I'm sure you won't).

My point still stands, and I'd still urge you to wait. This is really not the time to rush.
