Sleeving Cables Simple Question

I want to sleeve some of my own cables, but I don't understand what this whole needing to make a diagram thing means. I have the EVGA Supernova 850 G2, and i'm not doing extensions, but I am doing full psu cables because my case does not allow the extra space. So wouldn't going from psu to the end of the connector be enough? Or are the cables in different locations? I don't understand the whole diagram things. Is the purpose of them to make sure you match your motherboard or what? Thank you in advance.

The pinouts are not a 1:1 connection from the PSU to the connectors so some cables will cross over and have even more than one wire to certain pin for a sense line usually. If you nee more details I have a guide here under Sleeving and a reference to PSU and Connector Pinouts that may help:

The wires and pins have functions. You must abide by those functions.

"It pays to keep an open mind, but not so open your brain falls out." - Carl Sagan.

"I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you" - Edward I. Koch

"I didn't die! I performed a tactical reset!" - Apollolol
