Hey All,

Brand new to this Community! Linus is awesome and I wanted to see if y'all could help.

Upgrading my current build in timely installments - planning on switching out the following for this installment

-my loud as hell GTX 560 for a GTX 970

-old HDD for SSDs

-my current case.

I'm using an old raidmax scorpio 868 and I have a these few cases in mind...

Fractal Design s........cause is very open and the SSD's go behind motherboard

fractal design r5........cause its apparently silent

Corsair Graphite 760T...cause I like the front look, but I don't like the huge "felxi" glass and the high price tag

I am a video editor that plays Starcraft II somewhat regularly. I prefer something quieter since my rig is so loud under load (I think its the GTX 560). Also, my apt can get a little hot in the summer (living in Los Angeles).

Budget for this installment is hopefully under $600.

Can't go wrong with fractal cases for silence. Can't really advocate a silent case if you're switching to a quiter more modern card though. I would also suggest you wait 3 days for the Gtx 1070 release to see if there are any competitive prices. It's a he'll of a lot faster than the 970.
