Hi my name is Tripp and I love linus's videos. I managed to bid for an msi gtx 970 and win for 220 dollars, but haven't decided to pay for it yet. I currently have a gtx 960. I was wondering if anyone recommends to get the 970, sell the 960 and pay the difference. Also i have a 500w psu and I'm not sure if it can handle a 970. It seems to check out on psu calcs. I'm not sure if I should spend my money on the 970, can somebody please give me a push in the right direction

Depends on the model: which one is it?

You chose a really bad time to ask that question. You see, if the RX 480 turns out to be as good as promised, you pretty much just wasted money. On the other hand, if it turns out to be not as stellar, then you made a good choice.

Personally, I'd do it. You agreed on buy the card for 220; now honor your word and pay the money.

don't be that guy and not pay for an item that you won

if the rx 480 is incredible, you can hopefully sell that 970 and recoup most of the cost to buy one

if it's shit, the 970 will still be a good deal

If you think it's a worthy upgrade then go for it. Although it's not really worth the extra money at this point in time. There are new cards coming out that will perform better than a 970 for the price of what you paid for your 960. As for your PSU it'll handle it just fine.

You fucked up.  Don't pay for it.  RX480 will dump on the 970 for less money.

Please, show me the benchmarks from multiple sources to back up that claim.

you're welcome

ask for a return. If they refuse, go through eBay and demand your money back.
