Windows 7 not updating

I've just done a fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, installed all my drivers (motherboard, LAN, display driver, etc...) but I can't seem to use Windows Update. I've tried all sorts of different things like just leaving it to run, using the Microsoft Fix It tool, manually repairing it working from a MS written guide, even the most basic thing like restarting, I just don't quite understand what is going on. Could someone shed some light as to what is going on and how to fix it?

I have essentially given up on updating Windows 7 or doing anything with it at this point. Thanks to Winblows 10, 7 is about useless now.

I've checked the Windows Update log file, and it seems to be spitting out errors. Hm.
