Cheers guys, I just got  a new Laptop [Lenovo Thinkpad E460] and want to install Windows on it (bought without OS) I don't have a CD-Drive so I created a bootable USB stick (took an image from a Win7 professional CD with ImgBrn, I had for my PC and also have Win7 professional license for the laptop installation) I used the "Windows 7 USB download tool" to create a bootable USB stick. It did tell me that it was not bootable but out of frustration I tried it anyways and the Windows7 installation started. I did run into problems however down the line when no device drivers were found. So I did some googling and found a Tom's hardware solution which said to add USB3.0 drivers to the image but the  patching with the Image creator always fails. Failure reason is Packaged drivers could not be located.

I don't know how to continue from now. I don't think I have any non USB3 ports on my laptop, neither do I have a different USB stick or an external CD-Drive.

Download the drivers directly from here: http://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-edge-laptops/thinkpad-e460?tabName=Downloads&linkTrack=Mast:SubNav:Support:Drivers%20and%20Software|Drivers%20and%20Software&beta=false

Then inject them directly into the boot.wim file. (Which is the file that the Windows Setup will 'boot off') I followed this tutorial and it worked: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-GB/library/hh825070.aspx

This boot.wim is located at \Sources\
