so i have a steelseries rival 300 and im looking to upgrade to something new. i play a lot of fps games like overwatch at mid dpi ranges around 1600-3000 (at 3440x1440). my current choices are the rival 700, the m65 pro rgb, the g900, the deathadder chroma, and the mamba TE. i have long fingers and "medium" hands, use a palm grip for the most part, and use a aluminum mouse pad. having a short cable is a plus for me so i can use my keyboard passthrough but isnt required.

I don't have a ton of mouse experience, but I love my G402. Not too expensive, no gimmicks, a few macros (perfect amount IMO) and a perfect sensor that has spoiled me for life. I can't stand acceleration now :)

biggest problem with the 502/402 for me is its more narrow than my current mouse and i think even that is just tolerable

I used a wider mouse before and got used to it basically instantly, but I would try it out somewhere before buying if you can. Mice are pretty much all subjective when it comes to that type of thing.

The rival 700 is super heavy but if that doesnt bother you it may be an upgrade you. The g900 is a clear upgrade too if price isn't an issue. skip the m65 pro. it has clown firmware. no bueno.

Oh shit! Its actually a thing, https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=aluminium+mouse+pad&meta=&gws_rd=ssl

Learn something new everyday.

I have been using the Deathadder for years now and love it. I think it comes down to its large size and shape. I use fingertip grip though although I think palm grippers often like a larger mouse maybe?

Mionix Naos

Different versions at different price point, but all great with same shape.

Look up some photos of it.

Probably as close as you'll get to a wired gaming alternative to the MX Master

I have a naos 7000 sitting around because it wasn't comfortable
