No, they don't have to match, but the sample rate WILL bork your audio/video sync in a long enough video. And I did look at the sequence settings again. For some reason you're rendering out your footage for playback at 1080, rather than at the native 720 of your footage. It's not bad, it'll just take longer/be slower.

He's using Media Encoder's preset for Facebook.  I told him to use the one for YouTube.  Otherwise he can customize the settings and not use any of the default Presets.

Anyway, if he wants to upload to Facebook, Facebook will process his file before publishing (it's worse than YouTube).

Yeah, I never use the default presets. They're a good starting point, but I always have to tweak them to make it export as I want.

OP: you can save your presets once you make one so you don't have to keep modifying the preinstalled presets.

If you only have the preset for Facebook, then there is something wrong.  By default Media Encoder should have a long list of presets for Youtube, Vimeo, Facebook, etc.

Maybe you need to reinstall Media Encoder.

When I am ready to render out my projects in Premiere, I select the sequence I want to export and press CTRL+M.  It brings up a dialogue window in Premiere, I select the codec and preset I want to use and click on Queue to send it to Media Encoder.
