Don't go AMD if at all possible in your budget.. an i3 is better in most situations with an i5 being ideal.

Are you only upgrading your CPU or GPU / monitor too.. Why are you upgrading it, What are you needing to do that the coe2Duo wont??

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

I guess OP want to upgrade because Windows 10.

I would also recomend i3 or i5 if it's possible. AMD CPUs just aren't that great.

I was going for the Amd cause my budget doesn't allow for an I5, I have seen that overclocking this gpu can get performance at par of an I5, the I3s seem weak, plus my games run at sub 60 fps (cs go) and I will be adding more ram (call it future proofing)

Why Amds not great, like can you point out something specific I might have an issue with?

Look at any gaming benchmark of intel vs amd and they get walked all over.. Thats why.

On your budget, go used.. get a used i5 and a GPU.. or go for an APU which should be better all round but is limited in it's upgrade-ability.

For games that support multithreading it might be okay.

But most games depend on single core performance more, rather than anything else.

So if you compare single core of intel to single core of AMD ... Well AMD just can't handle intel power.

i3 realy isn't that great, but i5 would be awesome. Even some cheap i5 would be great.

Look, an I5 is ready out of budget, and I am looking for something I can easily overclock, now I haven't checked the prices of I3 processors, but most I look at seem to be locked, could you suggest an I3 plusmotherboard that I can safely overclock and fits my computer

I'd say a bit of both... Unless your monitoring your hardware usage while in game it's hard to be 100% sure.. a 630 is a very low end card and cs go doesn't need many cores.

Have you looked at overclocking before spending money? An increase in your cpu speed might give the boost you need.

There should be google videos showing you how to.. step by step guides if you'd think about it.

Well my processor is locked so no overclock there, but gpu Is possible, I have tried at one point but I think anything was way too far for it, lots of artifacts
