So i'm still trying to record some footage, and I seem to have solved the issue with shadowplay's capture server missing frames.

Now I seem to need to solve the second issue why it misses some frames, and that is because when enabling vsync to remove tearing in the recording...this happens.

With the left half being un-vsynced, and the right half being vsynced. Notice the appearance of sudden frametime spikes. I don't understand why these appear... can anyone explain this to me? And more importantly, a fix?

Adaptive vsync isn't a fix because that introduces tearing, especially in the 30fps cutscenes.

got the latest driver on?

fire up nvidia inspector and enable the new fast sync technology (DONT do it on the global profile, only the game you are recording)

That seems to level the frametimes, but you can see it delete frames. So i'm replacing duplcate frames with removed frames.

I'll see how it looks when recording.
