You can usually only use an OEM copy on one system, but it should also be able to be re-installed on that one system.

ok thanks. how would they know that im not trying to use it on multiple systems if the key is already activated. if i went to do a clean install of the system and put my key in i used wouldnt it say that its already been activated or something ?

ive got windows 10 oem on my pc now and want to do a clean install but wondering if its just going to say that ive already used this key.

It'll work with one PC. So you can reinstall it on your PC again. It won't work when you try to install it on another PC/Laptop.

Key locks to first motherboard its activated on. You can reinstall as many times as you like and change every other part except motherboard.
