I really like that case. I will definitely swap them out.

What is the cheapest I should spend on water cooling? and how much more affective would it be than the NH-D15s or NH-U12s?

For my understanding, what would be the realistic, minimum cooler for a mild overclock of about 4.2 to 4.4GHz rather than 4.7-4.8GHz?

I will probably overclock to 4.4GHz off the bat and see how it goes. I can see myself going up to 4.6 or down to 4.2GHz depending on how things play out.

You would need a 240mm/280mm water cooler for it to be on par/slightly better than the D15S. The link below shows that the Corsair H105 and NZXT X61 are a couple of degrees better when the cpu is overclocked. The NH-U12S is a couple of more degrees behind.

Both of the Noctua coolers are very quiet as you can see from the review. Personally I would go with the D15S as it will cope a bit better than the U12S if you want to maximise your overclock.

Thanks. I suppose it is better to spend a tiny bit more for the D15S in the long run regardless if I maximize my CPU or not

Thanks thats good to know! Where would you say I should overclock to with that NH-U12s cooler?

Depends entirely on the chip you get and how hot you are willing to run it. At a guess I would think 4.4GHz - 4.6GHz is a reasonable expectation.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
