I'm going to start the process and get a EKWB Predator 360 to cool my CPU with the possibility of upgrading later, hence that's why I'm picking the Predator. Does water cooling your GPU's make that much of a difference or is just to take pics and say look how cool my setup looks?

its not essential in any way shape or form

mostly something for enthusiast overclockers and to look cool

if you are going custom loop, you may aswell do it all I guess, water cooling your CPU is not essential either, and a decent air cooler or AIO would do the job

GPUs respond to water cooler much better than the CPUs

CPU: Intel i7 5820K @ 4.20 GHz | MotherboardMSI X99S SLI PLUS | RAM: Corsair LPX 16GB DDR4 @ 2666MHz | GPU: Sapphire R9 Fury (x2 CrossFire)

i will be honest with this. watercooling only effects performance with high OC's from a performance standpoint its unneccessary in other situations. people do it because its cool and looks good.

if you dont care about stuff like this (which i dont think looking at your mobo) just stay on air.

I need a new cooler anyway as my h100i has crapped out and I do overclock the mess out of my 5820k. I do overclock my gpus some but I'm still a noob at that.

It is usually just for looks, if your temps are really high though it will help with overclocking.

My temps were getting high and my overclock of my 5820k wasn't nearly as high as some I've seen.

EDit: Also the Predator 360 is an AIO but with expandability if you choose to do so.

Did you use more voltage than needed by increasing voltage in more than small increments? Your current cooling solution could also just be poor and or have gotten a bad overclocker.

if you like overclocking than maybe take a look into the 6950k.

that could be because you lost the silicon lottery. if your having heat problems with a h100i you didnt install it properly or your running an insane voltage which is bad for your cpu.

I did the baby steps based on Linus' guide with the same CPU and motherboard. I might have just gotten the bad processor lottery but my h100i is the first model and they did come out with a version 2 if that makes any difference and I have had it a while now. What's the shelf life on AIO's?

Shelf life on those can be many years, pretty much until the pump stops working in some cases I suppose you could get a large amount of corrosion before that. The second version isn't all that much different. I would suggest re-mounting the cooler and checking for dust before buying something new if you haven't already. What is your current clock speed/voltage and temps? Also rpm  of the h100 fans

My core voltage is 1.3v, with a multiplier of 34 because of XMP 300mhz ram which has me at 4.2 on the processor and when running aida 64 one core gets to 82 degrees which is high. My h100i fans are at 1550 rpms.
