Motorola Droid reset

So I recently got my hands on a Motorola Droid. I think its running Android 2.2. The problem is its in Portuguese and locked. I dont have the username and password for it but i do seem to have access to all files via windows. (see pic 1) I've tried to factory reset it via motorola specifications but those don't seem to work. Is there anyway to edit the files directly to gain access or can i find the original files somewhere and just replace them?

You might need a different software to access all the files, instead of just simple Windows file explorer. Try this one: http://android-file-manager.en.softonic.com/

I thought I might need that sort of thing but the problem im having is where in the file system are these settings stored? For the life of me I cant seem to find them! (im pretty fine with binary and HEX if thats how its going to read out when im editing it btw and i have some knowledge of the linux filesystem)

So I found the solution to this problem. Its actually a combination of 2 ways I found to reset the device that when combined work.

 

press and hold x and power on

once it shows the android with the white triangle and yellow ! press @

 

This is the combo that works for my device.... Not a single tutorial, video, or manual had this combo in it.
