Best audio setup for a Cavalier

Audio is definitely one of my weakest subjects when I'm asked about it, and a sibling asked me to help him get nice speakers or audio setup for his car. Right now the stock speakers are pretty nice and bassy, which is shocking because my mom's 2012 Cruze has terrible speakers.

 

My original suggestion was some new Kickers 4x6s as mids and 6x9s as rears, with an amplifier. He would prefer a new head unit and a subwoofer rather than replacing the stock speakers, and while it's neat, neither of use are capable of installing it, so I'm recommending against it.

 

Anyway, do you guys have any ideas for a $200 maximum budget? Preferably less but he can probably be convinced.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.
