HDD Install Issues

Hey guys, I have recently installed a 1TB Western Digital Black HDD that I got a while back and when I go to this PC under Devices and Drives, the Drive is not recognized. I went into the bios under the advanced option and it was recognized there, but, the PC does not recognize it in total. I have checked in the Computer Management storage options, and it does not show up there either.  Any help is appreciated, thanks guys!

Thanks for the link, do you remember specifically what you did?

All the information you need should be on the link really...I can't remember exactly what I did, but I do remember having to assign the hard drive a name so that it could be used.

Is it not showing up on Computer Management?

Nope, just my SSD and other 300gb HD.

I'm sorry for the situation you are in. Could you please provide some more details like a list of your computer parts and the OS that you are using? Also screenshots of Device Manager and Disk Management would be useful. 
 

I would suggest trying the drive with other SATA and Power cables on different ports and possibly on another computer to see if the results are the same. 

Also I would download and run WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic and see if the tool detects the drive.

 

Post back with the results!
