Take the video card out, test if the system boots like that.

Try a different power supply.

Reset CMOS.

My friend has a computer and it is not turning on 

the GPU is coming on, nothing else? 

HELP!

Check plugs, See if there is a boot error on the MOBO if it has it. Its most the monitor may not be plugged in, unless you have the other components with lights and stuff. We need more information than that

Nothing comes on but the GPU? 

The only fans spinning are the GPU ones...

Check that the fans are plugged in. Are theres lights on the motherboard that come on or a little screen with a boot code? Take out ram and reseat it in a different slot and try all sorts of different combinations. Also sometimes a stick or slot isnt working so try with new ram in different slots.

Nothing has turned on (the mobo does not have codes) the only lights to come on is the GPU ones.
